Eva Bancroft

Eva Bancroft August 28, 1927 - March 9, 2014 It is with sadness that we share the passing of our mother, Eva Bancroft, who passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 9th with her children by her side. She was predeceased by the love of her life, her husband Gil. Eva is survived by her 3 loving children, Lea (Niki), Tracy and Janine (Gwenm) and her grandchildren, Christin, Matthew, Kelsey and Laura.

Eva was born in 1927 in Vancouver, BC. After completing high school at John Oliver, Eva graduated from U.B.C. in 1947, where she also met Gil. She started teaching in Nanaimo and shortly thereafter moved back to Vancouver to marry Gil. Through over 50 years of marriage they shared a happy life together with their family, travelling, Deep Bay and many good friends...so many fond memories!

Her Irish family roots fostered her love, strength, courage, song and laughter which she loved to share with others.

With many thanks to the I.C.U. team at Lions Gate Hospital for their outstanding care of Eva, memorial contributions may be made to the Lions Gate Foundation. A memorial service will be held on April 5, 2014 at 1:00 pm at the Boal Memorial Chapel at 1505 Lillooet Rd. North Vancouver, BC. A celebration of life will follow in North Vancouver.
