EVA WAS BORN ON NOVEMBER 24, 1937 TO MERCE V. AND ANGELITA AMAYA SALAZAR
EVA WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HER SON ROBERT G. CANTU, HER PARENTS MERCE AND ANGELITA SALAZAR, HER SISTER MERCEDES SALAZAR PEREZ.
EVA IS SURVIVED BY TWO DAUGHTERS, MAVIS WORLEY OF BEEVILLE AND AUDRA (ROBERT) GARCIA OF HOUSTON, TWO SONS, AMERICO (FRANCIS) CANTU OF VIRGINIA, JESSE (SAMANTHA) CANTU OF FORT WORTH, THREE GRANDCHILDREN, ROBERT (STEPHANIE) GARCIA, CLARISSA GARCIA, GIAVANNA GARCIA OF HOUSTON, TEXAS. TWO BROTHER'S, ELEAZAR (AVALIA) SALAZAR AND FAMILY, EMITERIO (CINDY) SALAZAR AND FAMILY, A SISTER ARJELA RAMIREZ AND FAMILY.
SERVICES WILL BE HELD ON FRIDAY OCTOBER 2, 2015 AT 2:00 P.M.; ROSARY AND MEMORIAL SERVICE WILL BE AT BROOKSIDE FUNERAL CHAPEL FOLLOWED BY INTERMENT AT BROOKSIDE MEMORIAL PARK CEMETERY.

Audra so sorry I could not make it was too far away from my hometown and Houston. I loved your mom deeply. Still remember all the good times when you and I were kids and all our memories with her. I love you my dear friend. My sincere condolences to your entire family.

I so wish I had been able to attend the funeral...I hate being so far way from all of my family. I pray for my cousins who I know are missing their mother and her brothers and sister for comfort...I just know she is up there in heaven preparing a great feast for us all like she always did for the holidays from when we were children. I love you Tia Eva and I know you are looking down on us all with our grandmother Angelita, Tia Meche, Cousins Robert and Barbara....we love you so much.

You have our deepest sympathy in the loss of Ms. Eva.
She was a beautiful person so full of joy and love. I will always be grateful for her being my daughter's God Mother. I know My daughter Marla is now being watched over by her Madrina.
I recall when Eva helped my mom with my wedding and her driving us in her "Blue Caddi" after our wedding (no limos in Beeville then). Thank you Eva for your love and your beautiful friendship with my mom.

It is with much heartache that Rudy and I offer our deepest sympathy to you.
Eva was my best friend who was more like a sister to me. I have so many fond memories of all the good times we shared. And, I will always be so grateful for her love for me and my family, as I also have so much love for you. Eva was by my side during my saddest moments when I lost my mother and my father. Please know my prayers will always be with you, and that you can always call me when you find a need for comfort or just to talk about our memories of Eva.
When we were younger we made a promise to each other, that which ever of the two of us was left behind she would place a single rose for the one who was leaving to take with her to heaven. My sweet friend I will fulfill that promise tomorrow. I miss you my
