Eva Elder

Eva V. Elder, 90, of Carlisle, PA, passed away on Monday, January 9, 2023, in Sarah Todd Memorial Home, Carlisle. She was born February 22, 1932, in Cherry Tree, PA, Indiana County to the late William and Melda Marie (Gromley) Lewis. She was the widow of Robert Hobart, James Jeffreys, and Donald Elder. Eva retired from Pennsylvania Blue Shield. She was an avid golfer and bocce ball player, and she had a group of friends whom she socialized with every day. Eva was an avid shopper. Surviving are her children, Evelyn (William) Nauss of Mechanicsburg, William (Tracy) Hobart of Lewisberry, Kathy (John) Atkins of Mechanicsburg and Debbie (Alan) Cotter of Mechanicsburg, grandchildren, William E. Hobart of Lewisberry, Suzann (Hobart) Nicklow of Mechanicsburg, Matthew Hale of Mechanicsburg, Robert J. Atkins of Reading, and Danyl Atkins of Highspire, PA; and six great grandchildren. Eva was preceded in death by two brothers, Arthur and Richard Lewis. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, January 13, 2023, at 11:00 AM in the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 501 N.
