Our beloved mother, Eva Farnsworth Miller, passed away peacefully at the age of 92 on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 in
Wooster, Ohio with family by her side. Eva was born on September 27, 1931 to Kenneth and Hazel Indoe in
Medina, Ohio. Some of her fondest memories were made growing up on Richman Farms in Lodi, riding horses and driving tractors. Eve, as most lovingly knew her, graduated from Lodi High School and attended Baldwin Wallace College where she was a member of the Delta Zeta sorority. She married Lewis Charles "Chuck" Farnsworth on September 29, 1951; he preceded her in death on March 1, 1978. They raised four daughters together. She later married Joseph Miller who preceded her in death in 1998. Mom was a stay-at-home mom when we were young, often volunteering in our schools, being an active PTA member, and serving as both a Girl Scout Troop Leader and 4-H advisor. She also worked part-time at Freedlander's during Dollar Days and at Christmas. She later ran Congressman Ralph Regula's Wooster office for many years. Prior to the pandemic, Mom lived an amazingly active life for someone approaching her ninth decade. She was a devoted member of the United Methodist Church of Wooster, volunteered regularly at Wooster Community Hospital, played in several bridge clubs, and enjoyed spending time with her many friends and family. Mom was an excellent seamstress, often making matching dresses for the four of us when we were young, and kept busy with her sewing group of friends in Lodi whom she treasured. Her children and grandchildren each have a handmade quilt to hold dear. She loved Wheel of Fortune, was unbeatable at Scrabble, and often answered Jeopardy questions correctly before the contestants could. Her annual birthday trips, accompanied by her four daughters, were something she always looked forward to; over the past 12 years these travels led us to various places throughout Ohio as well as the Biltmore Estate, Niagara Falls, Chicago, Las Vegas, and New Orleans. Occasionally we even allowed the son-in-laws to join our "Girls Trips". Mom also cherished her recurring visits to Texas, which her daughter Sue and family made extra special. The most frequently mentioned attributes of Mom's were her kindness-always-and her beauty (both inside and out). She was the most supportive, generous, and loving mother, sister, and friend that you could have. Mom is survived by daughters Cynthia Farnsworth, Debra Backus, Susan (Bob) Ferguson, and Linda (Stan) Wengerd. Her grandchildren are Brett (Ashley) Tomassetti, Melissa Wengerd Gertsch, Jill (Dan) Woods, Lauren Wengerd, Natalie (Mike) Wrather, Jenna (Sam) Bassett, Amanda Ferguson, Robert Ferguson, Logan (Mackenna) Wengerd, and Hayley Ferguson. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren; as well as her sister, Lois Bangert, and brother, Richard Indoe, both of Lodi. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Chuck Farnsworth and Joe Miller; her sister, Anita Reynolds; and a beloved grandson-in-law, Edgar Gertsch. A Memorial Service will be held Monday, April 1, 2024 at Wooster United Methodist Church, 243 N. Market St., Wooster at 11:00 a.m. with a luncheon to follow. A private family burial will take place prior to the service at Hillcrest Memorial Garden in Seville next to our dad. McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster is assisting the family. The family would like to thank Dr. Lisa Malys and Hospice for their compassionate care of our mom; they were a blessing to all of us. Memorial contributions may be made to: Ohio's Hospice LifeCare, 1900 Akron Road,
Wooster, OH 44691 in Eve's name. From the book The In-Between by Hospice Nurse Hadley Vlahos, "What we once deeply loved we can never lose, for all that we love deeply becomes a part of us." Mom, you are deeply loved. Rest in Peace. Online condolences may be left for the family at
