Dearest Friends, thank you for your kindness in reaching out; it is a bittersweet experience and I feel your embrace. I look at this picture and want to snuggle in with Evan and Emerald. Instead I snuggle Evans memory and feel his love all around me <3

My heart breaks for the loss of this young man, and for his loving family. Walking the path of grief is agony. The beautiful love your family shared will be something you will treasure always. God Bless.

I just want you to know that there are people out here who know what you are enduring right now and who sympathize at the deepest level. My wife and I lost a brilliant and innocent boy at the age of 18 in 2004. We cherish a picture of him, sleeping with his dog, similar to the photo you have posted. Thank you for that, and for the perfect poem. Where most words fail, great poetry can be a comfort. In coping, you are helping others cope. I do not know you, but I feel your sincerity and goodness. I did not know your son, but this picture is so similar to ours that I feel like I do, and I share your loss. What a wonderful boy. It makes me cry to see this. I miss them both. Love will find a way through.
