Evelyn Alexander

Evelyn Alexander, long time Naples, FL resident passed away on the morning of May 4, 2019 at Avow Hospice House.
Born on August 13, 1947 in Newville, AL. She was one of 4 girls and 5 brothers to Fred and Lissie Alexander.
After graduating high school, she soon relocated to Brooklyn, NY where she met Maurice Sr. and gave birth to her only child Maurice Jr. in 1971. She later relocated again to Naples, FL.
Evelyn contributed to the success of the Ritz Carlton Naples beginning in 1985 when she helped open the resort in the laundry department. She spent every day of her 29 year career dedicated to making each day better than the last. She worked incredibly hard and could be counted on for her great sense of humor.
For many years she was an active member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church where she enjoyed the fellowship of all that attended.
Evelyn was extremely loved by her son and family. She simply adored her grandson Jesse. She was held in high regard by her friends and colleagues. Her pleasant and positive demeanor will remain fondly in all our memories.
She is survived by her son Maurice, his wife Katie, grandson Jesse, sisters Freddie and Mary, and brother Walter.
