Blessing to the fanily in the time of your sorrow

When we were growing up just down the street from eachother, we never thought that our parents would leave us someday. As we grew older we came to realize that none of us could live on this earth forever. Ms Evelyn taught us that if we seek to obey GOD'S WORD, by HIS GRACE, we may someday have a place in HIS HEAVEN for eternity. Your mother lived by the word of GOD & has now been given the ultimate reward...Life...in HIS HEAVEN for eternity. So in those times when your heart begins to fill with sorrow & your eyes begin to fill with tears...Remember her voice always filled with words of encouragement, Remember her strong hands that wiped away your tears...Remember her loving arms that craddled you whenever you were sad or felt pain...Remember the pride seen in her eyes whenever either of you began to SING. We know that sometimes remembering those things may be hard to do when your heart is in despair, but that is when we give all our pain to Jesus, because He said all of our burdens He would help us to bare. Although time may have passed & friends may have lost touch, please Remember...to Never forget...how many lives your mother truly touched.

Of all the earthly things God gives, there's one above all others: it is the precious, priceless gift of loving Christian mothers. May the Lord bless you and yours!

My sister-in-law, Evelyn, was a faithful servant of the Lord, was a soldier in his army and fought on till she could not fight anymore. Sixty-two (62) years on the piano and organ, or maybe even more, is a long time. For those that knew her, they knew that she could make the piano and the organ TALK. She was in demand by many churches to come over and play and to become their Minister of Music. To note a few churches, Tree of Life, Pleasant Green Baptist, under the leadership of the Reverend E. L.Mckinney. and my last notable church was the proud assignment she had at the Koinoia Baptist Church, under the leadership of the Reverend Joiner. Reverend Joiner cherished her service to the church and her dedication and Loyalty. He was with her many days in the hospital, and refused to let her give up playing even though she had lost a leg. I felt this was a testament to her that she had done a great job. A mother loves her children, all the time: Sarah, Lee Lee, Sandra, Paula, Eric, Grandchildren, Curtis, Wendy, other that were close to her..........she loved you ALL with ALL of her heart. She always said that she taught her children this: "That when one of them was down or in trouble, then all of them was down." She strongly expects you all to continue to adhere to this teaching. In all of your lives, you all have tried to the utmost to take care of her. I know you all did a great job, whereas she was well please. Keep MOM's legacy alive, always, and talk about the funny things that made you all laugh. Most of you had her more than or close to forty (40) years, far longer than any of you will ever be without her. "She has finally made it home", a home that the Master went away to prepare for all of us. You will meet her again, she is at a beautiful rest, playing music and walking around heaven, ALL DAY, NO MORE PAIN, THAT IS GOOD NEWS in itself. She wouldn't want to think of you weeping for her. I know how hard it is, it is very hard, and will be hard and dark for a while, but God promised that he would give you restored joy, but in a few days. Remember as your uncle,I love all of you and admonish you to stay close and also stay close to your dad also, she would want this. Hang in there all of you and I will pray for your strength. For a while there will be a feeling of EMPTINESS TO YOUR LIFE, A FEELING THAT YOU NOW DON'T BELONG TO ANYONE, YES, the TALLEST TREE IN YOUR LIFE'S FOREST HAS FALLEN, but GOODNESS AND MERCY shall follow you all of the days of your Life, if you continue to dwell in the house of the LORD. Love Ones, It ain't easy losing a Mom....I know. Love All of You. Uncle Na.

"Be Strong in the Lord and allow your gift of Boldness for Christ to stand out. Understand your anointing" were the words a true COGIC warrior told me a night after choir rehearsal at PGMBC. Did'nt know what she meant at the time but the words TRANSFORMED my life. I am forever grateful for your mother entering my life and helping me to understand who I was through Christ Jesus. Her legacy will live on because of her spirit and those she touched. Continue your praise and worship as Mrs. Foster would demand.
