Memorial Service, Monday, July 23, 2012, 11:00 a.m., Renaker-Klockgether Mortuary, 7651 Commonwealth, Buena Park, California.
Final resting place,with her husband Robert at Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, California.
Survived by two nephews, puppy Tinkerbell "Bell",and many close friends whom will miss her dearly.
Preceded in death by parents David & Daisy Franck, husband Robert "Bob" Martinson, one brother, and two puppies Oliver and Wally.
Evelyn was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars which during that time she received many awards for her good deeds and dedication. Just a few to mention are: Americanism Award, Certification of Recognition/Chairman Cancer Aid and Research Program Award, Ladies Auxiliary Certificate of Appreciation/Cheif of Staff District Twenty Three Award, Americanish/Loyalty Day/Pow-Mia Chairman Award for Community Activities ,and the Department of Veterans Affairs of The United States Community Award.
Memorial Address 5/19/1996 at 13th District:
Those we love and must someday pass beyond our present sight and must leave us and the world we know without their radiant light. But we know that like a candle, their lovely light will shine, to brighten up another place, more perfect, and more divine. In the realm of heaven, there they shine so bright and warm, our loved ones live forever more, in God's eternal light.
As we commemorate the memory of those who have been called to their eternal resting place, let not our hearts be heavy. Let us instead celebrate the facts of their lives, of the joy and pleasure they gave to their families and to those of us who loved them.

Dearest Cousin Evelyn,
I'm so grateful we were able to get to know each other, even though it was later in our lives. Greg, Sunny, Sheena, and I will forever have fond memories of you. Not only were you such a great help with advice but also such a great person to laugh with. Your advice is still being passed on! I loved your independence which motivated me to do more. The day I heard of your death I thanked God for our small amount of time together and asked him to take good care of you -- you're worth it and you deserve it! Love you always! I wish we could be there today and meet your wonderful friends and your nephews.

My Dear Auntie,
Whenever the politics of the moment drove me crazy I knew you would be there to talk me off the cliff or jump off with me. We knew together we could solve our countries problems but we were just 2 votes in a world that seemed to be spinning out of control. But, we had each other to fall back on and it was such a relief to know you were there.Andrew,Joshua, Marilyn and I will miss our long conversations that
helped bridge the gap that geography placed between us .

Your life was an inspiration to all of us, demonstrating how it is always possible to overcome all obstacles that stand in the way of achieving our goals in life.
