I think of Evelyn often. She was a true friend - always cheerful and willing to share good advice. So pleasant. One of the people you meet on the road of life who is sure to make a difference.

I think of my dear friend Evelyn often. She helped and taught me my job at GS & Co. She didn't have to, just wanted to assist a brand-new secretary and she did so with grace and humor. A pleasanter office companion and friend would be harder to find.
I also appreciated her all around intelligence as she was happy to share anything she had learned about the job with others, and also what she had learned about life itself.
We stayed in touch after I left my job as we had truly made a connection there. True friends are not easily found in life. I am very grateful for the friendship I was blessed with in the friendship of Evelyn McGlynn. I wish her family blessings from her memory. And may she be resting in peace.
All the best to the family, Mona Brafman

I still think of Evelyn from time to time and remember some of the laughs we shared, some of the difficult days at work when Evelyn always guided me to be able to finish any challenge that was new to me in the office.
And we "suffered" together through those early days of secretarial work on computers when the only program for word processing was "dos" - at least I think that's what it was called. We had to remember all the text commands or look them up. It wasn't easy as it was all so new in 1983.
But Evelyn always got me through it with her cheerful and confident attitude. It was a pleasure to have had her as a friend those 3 years. I feel fortunate to have had that experience and memory. May her memory always be a blessing to you , her dear family, and may her soul rest in peace .

Dear John and Mary Ellen -
You probably wouldn't recognize my name but I was friendly with your dear lovely mother at Goldman Sachs. She was my mentor when I started there and was always so helpful and kind to me, in addition to being so cheerful and intelligent. I was very fond of her. We did stay in touch after I left GS & Co. and spoke from time to time when she always shared her good humor and life wisdom with me.
I am very sorry to hear she is no longer with us as even though I have been living in Israel for a number of years we were still in touch until a couple of years ago.
May the many wonderful memories she left behind be a consolation to you both and to her dear grandchildren long into the future.
All the best to all of you, Mona Brafman
