Evelyn Mae O'Connor, 86, of Baroda passed away Monday, December 5, 2005, at Jordan's Nursing Home in Bridgman. Friends may call from 5:00- 7:00 PM Thursday at Kerley-Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home 2650 Niles Road. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday at the funeral home with Mother Valori M. Sherer officiating. Burial will follow at Ruggles Cemetery in Baroda. Memorials in Evelyn's name may be made to Jordan's Resident Council or St. Paul's Episcopal Church. Friends wishing to send condolences online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com Evelyn was born on April 10, 1919 to Harold & Ida (Brankert) Hendrix in St. Joseph, Michigan. Evelyn was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. Her family was everything to her, and she spent most of her lifetime on the family homestead in Baroda. She is survived by a daughter Linda Zick of St. Joseph; two sons Robert (Elaine) O'Connor of Grand Rapids and Richard (Shawn) O'Connor of Baroda; eight grandchildren; Robert A. O'Connor, Shanon R. Hoge, Necole Carrington, Kimberly S. Dillard, Deborah A. Woodard, Richard P. O'Connor, Adam R. O'Connor, Jenna Bohacek; eleven great-grandchildren; Robert D. Dillard III, Brittani A. Dillard, Ethan W. Hoge, Hanna E. O'Connor, Margret M. O'Connor, Evan R. Hoge, Grace E. O'Connor, Sidney S. O'Connor, Becca O'Connor, Sebastian O'Connor, Adaminna O'Connor; one great-great grandson Robert D. Dillard IV; three nieces Melany Mangold, Diana Nash and Nancy Jeffery; a sister-in-law Sonja Hendrix of Baroda She was preceded in death by her parents, two bothers Robert Hendrix, Harold (Eldonna) Hendrix Jr., and her son-in-law Terry Zick.
