I literally just Googled Everett's name as I was thinking about him. Wow!
Mr. Gambrell was an executive at Norwest/Wells Fargo bank when I was a entry associate. He was always personable and inspiring.
Mr. Gambrell and his charming wife were one of my first customers when I started my carpet cleaning business.
I always remembered his kindness and intelligence.

Rest well, sir.

I remember Everett at Texas Commerce Bank as the Executive Vice President over Check Processing Department. He, and Buddy, were my internal clients. I was responsible for the check processing systems. The department was well run, which made it easy to support. Everett, and Buddy, required the system to perform without issues, and for the most part the systems performed as expected.
Working with Everett, and Buddy, was a very good experience. I next remember Everett from the JST. I joined the group in 2006, well after the JST was organized by Everett. The JST was a wonderful experience! The members became great friends I always looked forward to meeting for our week of annual tryouts at various ski resorts throughout Colorado and Montana. I will miss Everett as a good friend and as a JST companion.

I enjoyed joining Everett and the other Jamaica Ski Team members on various annual skiing trips. Everett was one of the founders of the team. We all shared great comadre telling stories of the daily skiing accounts and the evening meals that we all pitched in to make. Everett will be missed.....have a great run on the slopes above Everett.

I came to know Everett thru his cousin, my stepmother June.
Everett was very generous with the time he spent with June, and I very much enjoyed my conversations with Everett.

My earliest memory of Uncle Everett was our family coming back stateside for a visit in the early 70s between Dad's overseas AF assignments and meeting him and his family. I didn't quite understand the concept of relatives beyond Mom, Dad, and my 3 sisters yet because of growing up across the world from everyone else, but I understood and accepted that Uncle Everett was my dad's brother and so was part of my family, too. We moved to Texas in 1977 for Dad's retirement from active duty, and the decades since - most especially the last three that I've spent living in the DFW metroplex - have meant more chances to visit and get to know him and Aunt Deb better. He was a kind, generous, caring, intelligent, funny, and quietly affectionate man, and my family and I were blessed to know him.

Everett,
Was a dear friend of mine, we enjoyed flying remote control airplanes together, he was very good at landing them in trees, which we spent the rest of the afternoon getting them down!
We also enjoyed working on his little
MGB kit car together!

Everett´s sense of humor and generosity with his willingness to help will live in my heart. He and Deb were the best friends and neighbors! We had lots of fun together and they both helped our family so much! Everett was an amazing person. Love to all of his family and friends.

I had known Everett professionally through my work as a vendor in the banking industry. One of my co-workers, Gene Miller, invited me on a ski trip that Everett organized. It was the start of an annual trip that for me lasted for many years. When my knees no longer wanted to ski, I went on the trip anyway. While the guys were on the mountain, Everett and I would go to the grocery store and have a leisurely lunch. We would meet the others at the end of the day to hear the great stories of the day. Everett was a wonderful man and friend. He will be missed. Gary Williams
