Everett Carl (Maddog) Perry

Everett Carl (Maddog) Perry, 78 of Soda Springs, ID passed peacefully in his sleep on August 8,2025, from complications of pneumonia. Carl was born on November 30,1946 in Boise, Idaho to Everett and Margaret Perry.

He graduated from Glenns Ferry High School. He then attended Heavy Equipment School before serving two tours in Vietnam. He was a Navy Seabee Petty Officer 2nd Class, E5.

Upon returning home he went to work as a heavy equipment operator for Elmore County Maintenance. He met a linecrew and decided to become a lineman. He built power lines all over the Northwest, whether climbing wooden power poles or the massive steel transmission towers ranging from 150 feet to 620 feet tall. He was famous for standing on the very top platform and waving to the people below. After this he went to work in different mines (gold, silver, and Ore) as an ore truck driver.

In life he enjoyed being around family and friends. Whether it be floating the Boise River, skiing the Snake River, building miniature doll houses, golfing, playing darts, card games, or simply talking with people over a beer or a good cup of coffee. Anyone who knew Carl knows he was a kind loving man, with a mischievous sense of humor.

He is survived by his daughter Jennifer Perry Robinson, granddaughter Rayne Robinson, ex-wife Julene Perry Dodd, two brothers (two Nieces) and two other nieces Sonja Dey Pratt, Brandyann Lee Moseley, bonus sister Dana Sellers Gies and bonus nephew Sheridan Swenson, (Shane Swenson).

He is proceeded in death by his parents, bonus parents Glenn and Dora Mae Sellers, and nephew Chase Swenson.

Per his instructions his ashes will be scattered with is favorite cat Highness aka "girlfriend" in the mountains.

A celebration of life will be held September 20,2025 at 11:00 am at 31 S Pit Lane, Nampa, Idaho.
