Evy Johana Quezada-Huerta

Having known Evy and had the precious honor of being her nurse for ten years, I saw first hand a child and then a young lady who never complained, who had a mind of her own and a inner strength to overcome any obstacles brought her way. She was a very loving and caring person. I saw her achieve so much because of her loving and devoted parents and siblings who never once treated Evy like a handicapped child. She was always treated like all the rest of her brothers and sister.

One of my favorite memories was the yearly swim parties Evy and her siblings attended at my house. Evy was in the pool (attached to the vent) just all the other kids.

After my retirement and move to Az.then Tx. we kept in contact via phone. My last conversation with Evy I told her I loved her and she responded I love you too.

Truely this beautiful young lady, her parents and siblings became part of my husband Mike and myselfs family.

Evy you will be greatly missed but all those who knew you have wonderful memories to cherish for the rest of our lives.

Evys was a beautiful soul. I had the privilege of being her teacher for a year and my heart is broken over her passing. Envy and I had an awesome student-teacher rapport. I loved seeing her smile when I would fist bump her and cal her my homegirl! She will be missed. To the family: please know that Evy brightened everyones day when ever she would smile and laugh with us! She had such a beautiful soul.
