Dear Steve,
I just found out about Eydie's death and my heart goes out to you. I have loved both of you for many years. Eydie was blessed with a fabulous rich voice, one of the best female vocalists of her genre. I feel lucky to have lived through many years of hearing and seeing her, and you, as well as the two of you together. You symbolized what I have considered a marriage of soul mates, which was very endearing to me. I saw you and Eydie on stage in St.Petersburg, FL. several years ago, which was billed as your last show there. I had gotten a ticket to see you, and though I had gotten sick, I was determined to be there, and so I was! Even with a fever and aches, I was so thrilled to see you at last and had a seat on the second row. I thought you both were wonderful and of course the songs you sang were sung just the way they should have been sung. It was one of the most wonderful shows I've had privy to.
Thank God for what technology has done for music and it's listeners, as your music will endure forever.
Thank you Eydie, and thank you, Steve.
I love you both.

Dear Steve and Family, my deepest sympathies to you on the passing of your wonderful Eydie. Being a singer since I was two, I admired her greatly, and was definitely influenced by her awesome voice and style.
I was thrilled to see you, Steve, with Eydie at the Oakdale Theatre in Wallingford, CT. What a spectacular performance - of music and warm humor! You have both left a great legacy. Be blessed.

Dear Lawrence and family, I was saddened to read of Eydie's passing. You and She had a big part of my young life. Aside from loving your singing,I remember watching you on different tv shows, I went to school with a boy name Steve Beechy, My Maiden name is Edie Boyd. All through grade school into High School we were in the same homeroom and I always sat behind him alphabetically. Everyone called us Steve and Edie after you two. Her voice will be as well as her smile and wonderful laughter.

Dear Steve and Family,
I was so saddened to learn that Eydie has passed away.
While is it is so sad that she has passed away, we must thank God that she had lived and has brought people all over the world so much joy and entertainment with her most beautiful voice.
I remember you both when I used to watch the Tonight Show with Steve Allen every night when I was in my junior and senior year at High School. My twin sister, Lois, and I used to take a bus from Teaneck, NJ to the Port Authority in New York City and attend the show. We both enjoyed and loved Steve Allen, you, Eydie and Andy Williams. We were so happy and so proud that the three of you became popular singers and entertainers after you left the Tonight Show.
While we were living in New York, my husband and I attended several of your shows in Las Vegas and Atlantic City and we both still enjoy playing your records (now disks) even to this day.
We will always cherish our memories of you and Eydie and we send you and your family our deepest and most heartfelt sympathy on your great loss.
Sincerely,

I will always hold a special place in my heart for Eydie.. I remember her many, many years ago singing at the Court Square Theatre in Springfield, Massachusetts.. Little did I realize that years later I would get to meet here in person. I was employed at the Marriott Harbor Beach, in Fort Lauderdale. Steve & Eydie would stay there on occasions and I would often drive them to dinner. They both were extremely friendly to me. All my life I was a big fan. I'll miss you Eydie..

For over a year now, I have been listening to Eydie on YouTube, and every time I wanted to write a fan letter to tell Eydie that I think she is one of the best singers of all time. Today, when I went to listen to Eydie, I found the sad news. So, now, the fan letter will be here: Dear Eydie, I have always thought that you were a great singer. When I wanted to be inspired by a remarkable voice, the way a song was interpreted, the way emotion could get the full meaning of the lyrics across, I listened to you and wished I could sing that way. You will always be an inspiration to me. Your fan, Lee
My sympathy goes out to Steve and family. She will always be with us--every time someone plays her music or mentions her name. The star that used to shine on Earth now shines in the sky.

What can I say. I listen to Eydie all the time. I think "Don't Go To Strangers" is one of the greatest albums ever made. I had the privilege of seeing both Steve and Eydie twice. The kind that give their all to their audiences. My condolences to Steve and family.

Dear Steve,
We so enjoyed the occasional visits with you and Eydie at the Golden Bull restaurant in Santa Monica Canyon, Los Angeles. Do you recall the evening in which you and Eydie sang at the bar and later you quipped "This is the first time we've sung and had to pay for our supper!"? We, along with many others, will miss Eydie immensely. Our best wishes and condolences to you and your family.

Dear Steve and Family,
We are devastated to hear of Eydie's passing. We have loved both of you since the 60s.
I wrote Eydie last year to remind her of your week at the Concord Hotel in late 60s. My mother and father were there with Eydie, you, and your children in the pool. My mother cherished the memory of her conversations with Eydie. My parents were also in their late 60s at the time.
We did not know Eydie was sick. She was a treasure, and you, Steve, are a treasure also. May G-d bless you and comfort you and your family.
Fondly,
Natalie and Bruce Baff

May I extend my deepest condolences to Steve,David and the Lawrence and Gorme' families. I would like you to know that I am 58 years old. So when my friends were listening to the ,"Beatles" and Rock n' Roll in the 60's, I was listening to Eydie Gorme. At a young age I started taking voice lessons and I began singing her songs. I would listen to her sing for hours on end. What a beautiful voice. When I made a voice demo at the age of 22 I recorded,"If He Walked Into My Life". I still sing that song as a audition piece today. Please know that there will never be another voice like hers. Even as a young girl at the age of 12 she touched my heart with her magnificent voice. I had the pleasure of seeing you both in person 3 times in my life. Her voice will live on forever. May she rest in peace. Betsy Mehlman St. Louis,MO
