Dear Suzy;
I kicked the desk as I read of your sadness this morning - news travels late up north here. We know how Barney is; I pray that that wonderful Spirit which is ours keeps you ok. Life continues unabated here - and there. Hang on to the joy! Christ's peace to you, dear Sue, and your wonderful family. bob borden

Dear Suzie, Pat and Iwere saddened to hear of Barney's death. We went to St Matthews in Horseheads NY just after Barney started there in 1964.This was our first church after emigrating from England and due to Barneyy and the church we started our Christian life in the Episcopal church. We are now in Manlius NY and are retired. You and your family are in our prayers. Pat and Peter Garner-Richards

Dear Sue (and Wendy, Whitney, Austin, Brent)
I was so sorry to read of Barney's death. He was a wonderful human being and brought much comfort and joy to all who knew him. Needless to say Bet was so happy that he was the one to officiate her wedding. We all have to hold on to those happier times and remember the ones that have now gone before us. (They must be having quite a reunion too!)
I miss them all and wanted you to know that my thoughts are with you.
Hopefully I will see my Gipson/Farnham "family" before too long!
Much Love to all of you!

Dear Suzanne;
We at St. James loved Barney who now rests in a much better place with no pain. He will be missed, but not forgotten.
Much strength in the days to come for you and the family.

Dear Suzanne,
I was so saddened to learn of the death of dear Barney Farnham,
a beloved and respected person who led the flock in Bolton Hill for so many years--and with such profound impact (well beyond the walls of Memorial Church).
It seems ironic to me that I just saw the two of you a few months ago after such a long hiatus.
It was like a sweet unexpected gift to be able to greet you both again.
You have my heartfelt condolences.
With affection

Lym was as a fantastic example of what it means to be a Christian and family man. It meant the world to me that he would travel across the country to perform our wedding ceremony and his influence strengthened our marriage. Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Farnham clan.
God bless,

I'll always remember Barney as a man who loved being with people, and who was very much a true and unswerving friend. He left an indelible mark on my life. No doubt, he did the same for many others.

Barney's "other family," the people of the summer chapel, Church of the Transfiguration in Blue Mountain Lake, New York, will gather on Sunday to remember the pastor who had served them so well for decades every summer. As his friend and colleague, It will be my honor to celebrate the Eucharist

To the family,
I offer my condolences. It truly is unfortunate that we must experience the sorrow associated with the loss of one we love. May you find comfort and strength from the "God of all comfort" (2 Corinthians 1:3,4 ) who promises at Isaiah 66:13, "Like a man whom his own mother keeps comforting, so I myself shall keep comforting you people."
