During Fabian's tenure as President of the Javits Center, I had the pleasure of working closely with him on legal matters of mutual interest. He had such a keen mind, always was so gracious to me, and kindly provided me with priceless insights into the law and public service in NY. He truly was a lawyer and gentleman of the highest rank and I always will cherish my memories of him. I extend my heartfelt sympathy to his family.

I met him through the many correspondences, I wrote to Governor Mario Cuomo.
He answered me brilliantly and honestly. A real gentleman.

What an incredible man! As one of the "young turks" that moved to Albany when Mario was first elected Governor, I had the distinct pleasure of working with Fabe on a daily basis. We were all so young and Fabe was always there to guide us and provide us with his wisdom about government, politics and anything else you wanted to know. He taught us all so much and I am indebted to him for doing so. The man had a mind that was a steel trap and never forgot anything or anyone. Some of my most fond memories of Fabe are the trips to and from Albany from NYC with Andrew (Governor Andrew Cuomo), Tonio and Fabe. The stories he told on these trips were amazing--many of which I can't repeat. His intellect was only second to his sharp wit and sense of humor. I always laughed when I was in his presence. Needless to say, his loyalty to Mario, Andrew and the entire Cuomo family had no bounds. Fabe, I thank you for everything and rest assured that there are so many of us that will miss you, and your smile.
