My very dear friend will be greatly missed. I worked with her in the Seattle School District and later had the priviledge of being under her loving watchful eye in the REACH Coaliton. Throughout everything Fab was clear on her TRUTH and lived it with integrity, without compromise. What a wonderful human being to have known, they don't pass this way too often. It was my greatest priviledge to know her, to love her and call her my friend.

To Fabiola's Family: It is with sadness that I share this moment of sorrow with you. Our friendship dates back to the mid 50s when we would travel to Vashon to visit and enjoy life in the country. I will never forget the Sunday that
"Huckleberry" fell into the well and there was James hanging by his heels trying to rescue "Huck" from the well, saying "Hold on Huck I got you" Your mother was a dear soul who always gave life her very best. May she rest in peace from her days of struggle. God's peace be with you. Jim Manning

It is with great sorrow that I learn of the passing of Fabiola Wilson Woods.
Although I never met her, she was a driving force in my mother's (Thelma E. Haney) life when Mom worked with the Seattle Public Schools.
Although Mom proceeded Ms. Woods in passing, I know that she would want her children to say a proper GOODBYE as she says "HELLO, MY FRIEND" on the other side.
My prayers go out to Ms. Woods family and friends.
Sincerely,
Liz Collier

Fabiola Woods, or "Miss Fab" (for fabulous), as I liked to call her, was a tremendous asset to our community and she had become a dear person to me through her volunteer work with the REACH Coalition for diabetes education, care and management. A warrior with a heart of gold, she will be greatly missed. My condolences, and condolences on behalf of the REACH Coalition, to all the family.

Sorry to hear of the passing of Fabiola. Even as we mourn this loss, we know within our hearts that those we love are never really gone; as when this earthly life ends the soul goes forth and journeys on.

My condolences to family and the many friends that were priviledged to have known Ms. Fab. I have known her for 28 years and she has never faltered in her conviction to do the right thing for all who could not speak for themselves. An outspoken community advocate and leader, she expressed what others could not. The community of Seattle will never be the same, and I am sure she left nothing unsaid. She remained active throughout her illness, often hospital visits turned into strategy meetings. Fab I will miss your style and conscience to remind all of us to do the right thing even if it means taking risks. Rest in peace!
