I am heartbroken to learn about Dr. Webb's passing. I was an undergraduate and graduate student of his at K-State shortly after he arrived to campus. He had a profound impact on my educational growth. All of the years later, I believe he challenged me more than any other professor during my time there. I valued his guidance, wit, and fiery humor. I remember him fondly.

I was informed that 1977 was indeed the year Dr. Webb earned his undergraduate degrees.

I remember Farrell from LMU and our time together living in Paris and NYC. We had a great time exploring the world and meeting new people. He was a brilliant, kind and funny man and I will always remember his infectious smile. Rest well my friend.

I first met Farrell as a Grad student in one of his classes during his very first semester at Kansas State University. I recognized immediately his immense knowledge, professionalism, kindness, and helpfulness. At the time I thought he was younger than me, but I see he was a little older. I frequently brought my kids to campus, and he was always engaging, being very friendly, recognizing them, being interested in their achievements. He bought candy from them yearly for their annual school Easter Candy Sale. Such a sad loss, as I'm sure he would have accomplished many more great achievements.

I didn't mention it in the obituary, but K-State (specifically Steve Bollman and Tony Jurich) courted Farrell for at least a year before he was hired because they greatly respected his methodological skills, his extensive teaching experience, and his wonderful personality. He far excelled almost any of the new Ph.D.'s in the field who were say 30 years of age or younger.
