On behalf of Louisiana Women Veterans, we would like to offer our heartfelt sympathies to the family of Fay Ferran, U.S. Army veteran. We salute her service to our country and honor her with this poem:
She is a woman veteran
Whose service was true
And she proudly served
The Red, White and Blue
She gave a part of her life
So others could be free
And without any hesitation
She joined unselfishly
She did her job well
With Honor and Pride
And served her great country
With the men alongside
We're proud today to know
That although she is gone
She goes onto glory
After a job "well done!"
And so, "Our Dear Sister"
We salute you today
A special Soldier laid to rest
In this quiet, solemn way.

RIP Mrs Ferran. I really enjoyed working with Mrs Ferran when I was at the 377th. She was humble, kind, generous and always helped me when I needed the help. May God bless her family and give them the peace they so need and may she RIP.

Ms. Ferran,
It hurt me to hear of your transition from earth to our Heavenly home. Thank you for always providing a "listening ear." You were good at that! Thank you for taking care of the Senior Leader. Thank you for taking care of the Soldier, families, and community. Your life´s calling; I´m sure of it. So many memories... I love you yesterday, today, and forever.
