Faye Shirley Obituary
Born in Anderson, she was the daughter of the late J.T. and Beulah Taylor Kinley. Faye was a graduate of Honea Path High School Class of 1957 and Forrest College. She was involved in planning the Navy Reunion for the Veterans and family of the LST-32 USS Alameda County for many years. Faye had a loving heart and generous spirit. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends that she valued above all else. She was a member of Neals Creek Baptist Church in Anderson.
Survivors include daughters, Dee Dee Hanks (Scott) of Anderson, Tracey McCall of the home, and Dina Sosa (Fernando) of Charlotte, NC; sons, Jeremy Shirley (Jeanna) of the home, and Jason Shirley (Angie) of Pendleton; nine grandchildren including grandson, Logan McCall of the home; and 15 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, James R. Kinley.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, November 3, at Sullivan-King Mortuary Chapel conducted by Rev. Jason Dorriety. Burial will follow at Neals Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. Friday at the mortuary. The family is at the residence, 112 Reedy Drive, Piedmont.
