Theresa Marzocca Miragliotta Beloved family matriarch Theresa Marzocca Miragliotta, 91, of Seaside Park, N.J., was welcomed into heaven on Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2017, surrounded by her loving children, to whom she selflessly devoted her life on earth. Theresa was born in 1926, in Hoboken, N.J. She graduated from St. Paul of the Cross Commercial School in Jersey City, N.J. After World War II, Theresa was introduced to a handsome, decorated GI from Coney Island, Vincent Miragliotta, who would soon become the love of her life. They were married in 1946 and started a family that would grow to include three sons and a daughter. Theresa and Vincent enjoyed a life of love and laughter abundant with family, friends, and celebrations. Theresa loved the beach and the ocean, and being with family at the shore. Theresa was happiest in Seaside Park, N.J., later making it her permanent home. Although very genteel and unassuming, when Vincent sadly passed away at a young age, Theresa found the courage, inner strength, and determination to keep her family together. She worked at NJ Bell, retiring in 1993. She made sure all her children were college-educated showering them with love and generosity. Theresa was a deeply religious woman and her faith helped her throughout her life. She remained devoted to Vincent her entire life, as his wonderful memories were enough for her and she continued to treasure his family from Brooklyn. Theresa loved hosting large holiday gatherings, especially Christmas which always culminated in a visit by Santa to everyone's delight. Theresa was a dutiful daughter; a devoted wife; a steadfast and supportive mother; a loving and generous grandmother, and a delighted "grandma-ma." To her, faith and family was everything and in return she was greatly loved and will always be missed by her beloved and heartbroken family. Theresa's memory will be cherished by her children: sons, Vincent and wife, Sandy, Robert and wife, Geri, Donnie and wife, Vikki, daughter, Emily and husband, Tony Savasta; grandchildren: Nicole, Robyn (Eric), Jeff (Carla), Andrew (Jenna), Anthony, Vincent, Nicholas, and Lauren; great- grandchildren: Gabriella, Brayden, Gianna, Olivia, and Colton. Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 2 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the Fiore Funeral Home, 236 Monmouth Road, Oakhurst, N.J. Funeral Mass will be offered at 11 a.m. on Monday at St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church in West End, Long Branch, N.J. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington, N.J.
