Fermo Stefanelli was one of the senior instructors at the first Karate school I joined in Ottawa back in 1991. I knew him as a man of kindness, wit, integrity and dedication to high standards in martial arts. "Sensei" Fermo exerted a positive influence on all his students and colleagues. We still relate accounts of his impressive technical feats to new students. I am proud to have known him.
