Filomena Recine

Filomena Recine (née Buonsanto) beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, passed away peacefully on July 4, 2025, at the age of 78. She was born on January 20, 1947, in Molfetta, Italy.

Filomena was the devoted wife of the late Giorgio Recine, with whom she shared 59 wonderful years of marriage. Together they built a loving home and raised three sons: Roberto, Giorgio, and Ennio. She was a proud and adoring Nonna to her three grandchildren: Jack, Anthony and Bianca.

Filomena is survived by her brothers Pantoleo, Bruno, and Donato, and her sister Marta. She is predeceased by her brothers Giuseppe and Carlo, and her sister Francesca.

Those who knew Filomena will remember her deep love for her family and friends. She was an amazing Mom and Nonna, a fantastic cook who brought everyone together around her table, and a joyful dancer who embraced life's celebrations. Above all, she cherished her beloved husband, the love of her life.

Filomena's memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved her.

Services are Friday, July 11th at Failla-McKnight Funeral Home, 533 Willow Avenue, Hoboken, NJ from 2-4 and 6-8pm and a mass at St. Francis Church, 308 Jefferson Street, Hoboken on Saturday, July 12th at 10am

Interment following at Fairview Cemetery
