My great friend and HERO, Leonardo "Flaco" Jimenez, for over 60 years. I had the honor of recording several songs with him and we did a duet on one of my songs "Ni El Allan to De Los Ninos." We shared many fun moments together, so I will cherish those precious moments forever. Rest In Peace, Fellow U.S. Veteran and Brother-Musician Placido Salazar

I was blessed to have had the opportunity to have Flaco play on some of our Red Pepper Sound recordings, share the stage, and have him share stories about his music and life. You are a music legend. My prayers for the family, and remember, there is no better medicine for the pain you are feeling than the memories of your time with Flaco. Via Con Dios Flaco!

Elida I am sorry for the loss of your Brother Flaco. He was a very humble, nice and caring man when I met him when you introduced him to me. He was a great Musician, and an inspiration to young accordion players through the world. Your Nephews and your family are in my prayers. He was very jovial the three times I met him there in Seguin and in Lockhart.
