It is with great sadness that faculty and students of The Division of Nutrition, College of Health, University of Utah learned of Florence's passing. Florence and Ted were very generous donors to our student scholarship program. The Anna Jacobsen Scholarship that they established and the students that they helped and will in the future help through college lives on in their memory.

A truly legendary millennial lady. She contributed much to preserve beauty and history throughout Utah and elsewhere. It was a privilege to have known her. Her memory will last forever. She was a friend to all our family.
Sincerely, Penny Merrill and Kelly Buehner

My heartfelt gratitude to Florence Jacobsen - a grand lady. I can't thank her enough for her efforts and influence in preserving church historical sites and artwork that are so precious to our Mormon culture. I did not know her personally but I heard her name many times as a excellent woman of influence and integrity.

Florence was a guide and inspiration to me over many years. Ever kind and caring, she always left me with an uplifted spirit. Her stories will live with me always. My daughter Sabrina often sang for her as she lay in bed. She expressed love for her and for me and gave us the belief that all would be well.

Florence Jacobsen Family,
Elder Reynolds called me Wednesday night and told me your mom had passed away. I immediately started remembering all the wonderful times that I had in the mission field with your mom and dad. Kindly know of the love and respect that we carry for your family. I have had recent heart surgeries and will be unable to attend her services, but my thoughts and prayers will be with you.

I met Sister Jacobsen when she was a delegate to an International Women's Conference in one of our Foreign Service postings (Iran? Austria?) during the late 1960's, early 1970's. I was a young, very homesick wife and new mother and she picked me out of the crowd at a cocktail party. I'm certain the orange juice and outline of Temple garments gave me away because she came up to me, gave me a big hug, and said how grateful she was to find "one of us" in such a faraway place. That moment, that hug, has stayed with me all these years. What a wonderful woman. What a wonderful life she lived. Becky W. Gledhill

Added to her exceptional service, she was a gracious and generous friend, a magnificent example of L.D.S. womanhood. We are all better off because of her life in mortality. Ann King, 18th Ward

We loved Florence. We had the opportunity many years ago to be at Tony Roma Restaurant when they were there. They invited us to sit with them at their table. We had a joyous evening with them.
Richard was privileged to take the sacrament to Florence many times. What a blessing that was form him. She will truly be missed, but what a glorious reunion she is having with those who went before her.
We love you Florence.
