You gave me so much. Tolerance and understanding to all things. Your arms were always open to me no matter what I did ,with nothing said to anyone. The grearest gift was your unconditional love. This gift and your life lessons you so freely gave me are now mine to give to my grandchildren. When the sun starts to set and I feel the warm sunlight on my face just before night fall all I have to do is pray and you be there.Thank-you so much for the time you spent with me

I didn't know Great Gramma very well, but I did know that she was a woman who had done a lot with her life. In all the 16 years I saw her sitting in her chair, and occasionally talking to her, I knew that she would live to be very old and wise. She talked a lot about being a Gypsy and her horses, and about the native man who came to see her (Although I had never met him I learned a lot about him)

I really really really wish I had gotten to know her better then I had.. I got so used to seeing her at the Trailer I just thought that she'd live forever.. I know that's niaeve..but still.. I miss her more then anything now, and I would give anything If I could have just one more day to talk to her, to know who she really was..and just to hear her laugh and talk with Danny... I miss her so much.. I feel like I could have gotten to know her so much more.

Grandma was the light of our lives. She gave us the strength to overcome any obstacle that the world threw at us. I am delighted that so many people had the chance to know her love & caring and will carry that love with them for the rest of their lives. We miss her dearly & will remember her always with love & affection.

I offer my deepest condolences to those who have had the privilege of getting to know Great Grandma Knowles, and my condolences to those who haven’t had the chance to meet her. She was and still is a wonderful and loving grandmother who is proud of every one of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. I am proud and fortunate enough to have been able to have her in my life. As much as everyone misses her and loves her, she is at peace. She is in a field in heaven – riding those horses, or baking those pies that everyone remembers. One cannot say that they will forget about her, for she is and forever will be a part of our lives, and her legacy will live on to generations to come. Great-great-great grandchildren I am sure will hear stories that she has once shared with all of us. Forever and truly missed – your great-granddaughter Renee

Mom to some… Gramma to most…a lady always. She will live in our hearts and minds forever… Her strength passed on to each and every member of her family. The knowledge that family is the most important part of a person’s life and need to keep them together was what she was all about. She did us proud… now it’s our turn to do her proud. Be who you are for she loved us all just the way we are… and remember her with a smile. I love you Gramma…

Our Gramma had a warm, kind and generous heart. She has left a legacy of love generosity, tolerance and understanding. She was many things to many people. Most importantly her door and arms were always open. Your plate was always full. She always made time for everyone to share our joy as well as our pain. We will all miss her, and when I think of the hole left by her absence I think of her beautiful smile and great laugh and that gap fills with the glow of her memory. Love you Gramma. The one thing that I'll always remember: 'Grandma' Knowles would always greet you with a heart warming smile and leave you with a feeling of happiness and self worth.
