Add memories that will last forever

Not sure what to say?

Hi Bobby. Yea, I can't believe I still call you that. I remember seeing this site you created for Nana a long time ago, but I see that I never signed the guest book. I stumbled across this again when searching for something on the internet. So strange...so many years later. Even though I wasn't around Nana as much as you were growing up, I remember everything that you have mentioned in your story. It all leaves me with fond memories of my visits to Moline and Clinton. The "Bar", grapes and apples, the late nights of playing cards, ordering out pizza and eating lots of junk! I also remember the humorous but depressing times when Nana couldn't remember me, and she thought I was a former student from Allaman High School. I also remember the story she told me about meeting and dancing with Grandpa George over and over again. I miss her, but I have many fond memories of her. I know she is in a happy place now. Thanks for writing such a nice story for our dear Grandma. Love, Danielle

Dear Robert,

Thank you for sharing this
beautiful write up with me. I wish I
had known Nana before she lost her
hearing. I am sure she is proud of
what you have written about your
memories of her, wherever she is.

a wonderful tribute to, I am sure, a
fabulous woman. Your loss must be
so painful. Kindest regards

Bob, Your dad told me about this,
and by the way, he was my first boss
at A.C. Nielsen's a long time ago.
Kudo's to you on this neat story.
More of us should remember the good
times shared with loved ones.

Thank-you

Bobby,

Your Aunt Donita, (my sister)
called me and told me to check out
the story you wrote about Nana.
I remember her only from the times
we got together for baptisms,
birthday, etc, but for only 16 yrs,
After that, I never saw her again.
You have truly written a beautiful
tribute to a beautiful woman. She
would be so proud of you.

Thank you for sharing her with the
rest of the world.

That was a really great memory of
what it used to be like when I was
little and went up to visit her in
her old house. It brought back a lot
of stuff I haven't thought of for a
really long time.

Your Mom e-mailed us about your
testimony to your Grandma. Good job.
Your articulateness is certainly
showing. Wish I had such a way with
words. Your love for Grandma also
shines through. We certainly enjoyed
it.

Your mother called me about this
last night and it was beautiful to
read. You did a wonderful job -
describing her perfectly and
bringing back memories of
everything I remember about her.
But now I know what you, Peg and
Danielle were doing in the basement!

Dear Robert-SO glad your mother
wrote me about this today. Of
course I agree with ALL of the
above.The only 'surprise' was what
a GREAT writer you are! I'm sure
Nana approves. So glad I knew her
too...& shared MANY of those
brandies!

A fond remembrance from a grandchild really relects on how you were raised and the importance of family in our lives. As an aside, my parents met at the Aragon Ballroom. It was the place to be. My father was also a dance instructor at the Aragon.

Bobby, what a loving tribute you've
written! I remember your
grandmother at your parents'
wedding as a charming, happy
woman. Over the years we met many
times, and yes, I saw her age
dramatically between our meetings,
but always the essential Florence
remained: warm, friendly, and very
interested in her family. She was
one classy lady...just look at her
daughter! And you are one classy
grandson to remember her so
lovingly and with such style.
