Florence Mariano Obituary
Florence I. Mariano, age 89, died March 5, 2013 at Ledgewood Manor in Windham, Maine.
Born August 10, 1923 in Lynn, MA, daughter of Thomas and Manola (Wentworth) Todd, she was a graduate of Lynn Classical High School, Class of 1941.
She resided in Lynn, MA for most of her life, resided in Alton Bay, NH for 12 years and resided in the Windham and Portland area in Maine since 2000.
Florence had worked in the assembly room at General Electric in Lynn for 10 years. She enjoyed reading, knitting, embroidery and especially time with her family.
Widow of the late Anthony Mariano, she is survived by their 2 daughters: Linda Mariano and Kathy Mariano, both of Windham, Maine, 2 sons: Richard and wife Tricia Mariano of Hopkinton, MA, Robert and wife Jennifer Mariano of Livermore, CA, 5 grandchildren, a brother Thomas Todd of Franklin, MA, also several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister Emily Todd.
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of Ledgewood Manor for the exceptional care provided during her time there.
Interment and a graveside service will be in the spring at New Riverside Cemetery, Alton, NH. Donations may be made in her memory to: Ledgewood Manor Activity Fund, 200 Tandberg Trail, Windham, ME 04062.
