To Florence's Family,
It was with great sadness I read this morning of Florence's passing but with great joy as I remembered all of the tremendous gifts she provided to the Las Vegas community throughout her many years. I had the privilege of working with Florence beginning in 1984 and it was apparent she was a courageous and tireless advocate on behalf of women. She was a role model for me because she stood up for what she believed, serving as a true pioneer for more humane treatment for victims of rape. She was very proud of her family and spoke fondly of her husband. Florence left a legacy of hope for Las Vegas and will be missed greatly. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Florence McClure was a trail blazer and amazing activitist for women and children in this community. She will be sorely missed, though I know her to be in a better place: one full of beauty, peace, and happiness.
My daughter has had a different experience as a female growing up in Southern Nevada because of the efforts of women like Florence. And for that, I am eternally grateful!
