Florence Claire Vega, 90, of Cape Coral died at 6:50 PM, Sunday, August 24, 2014 at Winkler Court in Fort Myers, FL.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Thursday August 28, 2014, at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd, Fort Myers, FL 33907. Family will gather with friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
Memorials: Dubin Alzheimer Resource Center, 12468 Brantley Commons Ct., Fort Myers, FL 33907.
Florence was born November 23, 1923 in Passaic, NJ, the daughter of John and Anna (Curcio) Nicastro. During March of 1946, in Atlantic City, she married Ignatius Vega. She enjoyed taking care of her family, housekeeping, cooking, and making ceramics. She worked at Paul Kimball Hospital in Lakewood, NJ as a Dietary Technician.
Mrs Vega leaves behind two sons Robert Vega of Cape Coral, FL, Kenneth Vega and his wife Laura of Lehigh Acres, FL; one brother John Nicastro of Alton, New Hamshire; grandchildren, Shawn Viscardi, Dawn Reitmeyer, Darlene Price Michael Vega, Edmond Crabtree; great grandchildren, Scott Reitemeyer, Paige Reitemeyer, Trent Crabtree, Salvatore Crabtree, Chloe Crabtree, Brieanne Kadeg, Robert Kadeg, and Ashley Kadeg.
Preceding in death are her parents, husband Ignatius,and daughter Nancy Viscardi.
