Age 74, of Pittsburgh, passed away on Wednesday, November 10, 2010. Beloved wife of Donald Sharapan and the late Arnold Krell; loving mother of Jimmy Krell (Sheri) of Birmingham, AL, Marc Krell (Julie) of Scottsdale, AZ, Amy Mazer (Michael) of Fort Lee, NJ, Laurie Sahn (Nate) of Glencoe, IL and the late Ellen Krell; daughter of the late Max E. and Mary Kaufman; sister of Betty-Lou Rubenstein of Ligonier, PA, Judy Kamen of Cleveland, OH and the late Bill Kaufman; loving grandmother of Asher, Ethan, Mack, Alexander, Jonah, and Audra. Florie was born in Uniontown and graduated from the University of Pittsburgh , where she was a proud member of the Pitt Players. She loved theatre and was a strong supporter of the arts in Pittsburgh. Throughout her life, she was involved in various cultural organizations, participating in the Brandeis Women's Book Sale and leading a "Women's Issues" group for Hadassah. She was passionate about travel, visiting countries as far flung as China, Australia and New Zealand. Florie was a lifelong learner, attending liberal arts courses at the University of Pittsburgh for many years. She will be remembered with love by her family and friends. Services were held at RALPH SCHUGAR CHAPEL, INC., Shadyside on Friday. Interment Beth Shalom Cemetery.
