Floy Ann Raughton Obituary
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 23 at 11:00 AM at Morris Baptist Church, Morris, GA. Dr. Poly Rouse will officiate. Interment will follow in Morris Baptist Church Cemetery in Quitman County, GA.
A native of Morris, Georgia, Mrs. Raughton graduated from Georgetown High School and received her Home Economics degree from Auburn University, where she met and married the love of her life, William Marshall Raughton, Sr.
She is preceded in death by her husband, William Marshall Raughton, Sr., her parents Abner Ray and Cora Belle Gary, 5 brothers: Ray Gary, Gordon Gary, Donald Gary, Jack Gary, and Dan Gary, and 1 sister, Evelyn Bynum.
Mrs. Raughton was primarily a stay-at-home Mom, spending years investing in her husband and children. She was a member of Nashville First Baptist Church, Nashville, Tennessee.
Survivors include her three sons, William Marshall Raughton, Jr. (Esther) of LaBelle, FL, Alan Raughton (Ruth) of Mount Juliet, TN, and Mark Raughton (Felicia) of Flowery Branch, GA, 6 Grandchildren: Benjamin Raughton (Nozomi) of Okinawa, Japan, Bethany Lack (John Paul) of Auburn, KY, Jacob Raughton of Duluth, GA, Kayla Brown
(James) of Tifton, GA, Kimberly Johnson (Kyle) of Leesburg, GA, and Cody Raughton (Toni) of Lakewood, WA, sisters-in-law, Nadine Gary (Jack) of Auburn, AL and Daisy Gary (Dan) of Geneva, AL, and 12 great-grandchildren: Cager, Hyley, Nagisa, Aoi, McKenzie, Jordan, Lee, Jaxon, Laura-Lee, Declan, Reid, and Walker.
Those desiring may make contributions to Education Ministry of First Baptist Church, 108 7th Ave. South, Nashville, TN 37203 or to Morris Baptist Church, C/O Jan Johnson, 1244 Old springvale Road, Cuthbert, GA 39840.
The family will receive friends April 23 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Morris Baptist Church.
