It is difficult to say good bye to an old shipmate, but he is serving the Supreme Commander now. He touched many lives and will long be remembered. So Long "SKIPPER". I am so glad I had the opportunity to meet him in Pensacola at the USS Chickasaw Reunion. My sincere condolences.

Although I never had the privilege of meeting you - you were greatly admired and respected by myself and all your shipmates of the USS Chickasaw Assn.

Skipper was an inspiration to the members of the Chickasaw Association, whether they had met him personally or not. His life embodies the life of a real American Patriot.
