Floyd Frank Munson, age 87 of Olsburg, passed away Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at Ascension Via Christ St. Francis in Wichita.
He was born on March 17, 1936, in Olsburg, the son of Frank and Ida (Anderson) Munson.
He married Geneva Nelson on September 5, 1954, and they had two children, Tracy and Julie. She preceded him in death in 1989.
On December 22, 1990, he married Julie Ann Craig.
Floyd was a lifetime farmer and worked for Pottawatomie County Weed Department for ten years. He was a member of the Olsburg Lutheran Church and in his younger years was a member of the Olsburg Lions Club and served on the board with Farm Bureau.
He is survived by his wife, Julie Munson of Olsburg; a daughter, Julie Higgins (Dan) of Leonardville; a son, Matthew Clark of Hampton, Virginia; four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Tracy Munson; a brother, Harold Munson, and a sister, Ruth Nelson.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, October 5, 2023 at the Olsburg Lutheran Church with Rev. Kaylie Ines officiating. Inurnment will be in the Olsburg City Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Olsburg Lutheran Church. Contributions may be left in care of the Anderes-Pfeifley Funeral Home.
