POMEROY _Forbes McLean passed away peacefully on Monday, February 9, 2004 at Royal University Hospital at the age of 72 following a courageous battle with a lung condition. Forbes is survived by his wife, Hazel; his children: Brent Pomeroy of Saskatoon; Gale (Aaron Smith) Pomeroy (Jamie) of Saskatoon, Karen (Gord) Tate (Dylan, Jaclyn and Brett) of Calgary; Jo Ann Fournier (Justin and Nicole) of Lloydminster; Deanna (Kim) Goodman (Russell, Michael and Ali); Rick (Norma) Barrack (Paula and Stephanie) of Saskatoon. He is also survived by his brother, Stew (Barb) Pomeroy of Oliver, BC; sister-inlaw, Janet Pomeroy of Calgary; step-sisters, Bess (Vern) Grebinski of Regina and Lorna Newton-Adams of California; numerous nieces and nephews; and his godson, David (Jill) Pomeroy of Edmonton. Forbes was predeceased by his parents, James and Janet Pomeroy; and infant son, Kevin; brothers, Bill and Jerry Pomeroy; his first wife, Joyce. Forbes was active in his community, the Masonic Order, St. Anne's Parish, and the English Welsh Society. Forbes began working with Sask Power at the age of 17 and remained their until his retirement. Memorial donations may be made to the Sask Lung Association or the Shrine Travel Fund. Hazel and family would like to thank their many friends, and the staff, nurses and doctors at RUH for the care and support given to Forbes and family. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 11, 2004. The Funeral Liturgy will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, February 12, 2004. Both services will be held at the Chapel of Saskatoon Funeral Home and will be conducted by Very Rev. Paul Donlevy. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
