Foster Bosworth Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 1, 2009.
Foster Louis Bosworth Jr., age 72, Frisco, passed away on Aug. 25, 2009, in Plano after a lengthy battle with cancer. He graduated from Tyler High School in Tyler, and Central State University in Edmond, Okla. Foster served in the United States Air Force for 8 1/2 years and played service football in Japan. He retired from Rockwell International as project manager in 1990. He was an avid sports and country-western fan who loved his family and his dogs.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Kathy Bosworth of Frisco; daughters, Robbie Bosworth, and Vicki Bosworth Tolley and her husband Ed Tolley; son, Brian Bosworth; grandchildren, Amanda, Korey and Kyle Bosworth, whom he helped raise, Garrett and Kendall Tolley, and Chase, Hayley and Max Bosworth; and sister and brother-in law, Anne and James Barrow of Chandler.

We will miss his wry sense of humor, his coaching, guidance and support, his stubbornness, his unceasing drive for perfection and his love. In lieu of flowers, his family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society or the SPCA. A memorial Mass was held Aug. 28, 2009, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Frisco.
