Fran Moira Singer

Fran, I miss you every day - bws

I am so sorry we lost touch, especially because she lived in the next town. We worked together at Apollo Computer in Chelmsford, MA in the mid-1980's. Two co-workers and I only recently learned of her death. We plan to send a donation to the research group at MGH.
With many fond memories,

Fran was my mentor at Juniper Networks. I learned a lot about documentation at Juniper, from her. She was a happy person. I'll miss her mails (detailed and purple). I am glad I knew her.

Fran was surely one of the sweetest people I have known. I will always remember our years as colleagues, our mutual love of all things French, and our happy lunches in Concord. And, yes, the color purple will always remind me of her! I am very grateful for the good times we shared.

"My wife was a co-worker and friend of Fran for many years, and we were Fran's next-door neighbors in Maynard for several years. She was a really nice person. Due to my wife's illness, we won't be able to attend the service, but we send our sincere condolences to her family."

Fran was my neighbor for over 20 years...I would see her around town at many art galleries and events. She loved and appreciated the arts. She was funny and always asked about my kids. I miss her and send condolences to family and friends.

I miss you greatly, my dear friend. If we had known each other in grade school in Brooklyn, I know we would have been life-long friends. It took a job in Burlington, MA for us to find each other. Fortunately, we had 25 years of friendship together. You were my best playdate buddy. We had great times going to art museums, crafts fairs, farmer's markets, movies, plays, and restaurants. I loved your sense of humor and I admired how easily you met and interacted with people. I will always picture you wearing purple and turquoise, adorned with accessories from some new artisan that you discovered, laughing and making everyone around you laugh too.

I worked closely with Fran for the past year at Juniper Networks.

The technical writing team and the software development team all thought very highly of Fran. She was a pleasure to work with and always fun to talk with.

We will miss her humor and purple e-mails.

Fran was indeed a very special person with a wry sense of humor. As a work colleague at Powersoft/Sybase, she enlivened the days with her humor and insight, and through herself into party celebrations. She was a delight to be with. She holds a special place in my heart, and I will miss her.

I am one of Fran's most recent colleagues. I only got to meet her in person twice in the two years we shared at Juniper. I had no idea that we had both lived in Brockton at one time in our lives. It would have been fun to chat with her about that.

We stil cannot believe that Fran is gone at such an early age and with so much promise Growing up, our families were very close and Fran was the apple of every ones eye. Fran was at our wedding at the early age of 8 and stole the show Fran will be missed dearly. Much love, Gerri and Steve Savitt

I first met Fran in Nice, France when I was visiting my friend Vicki Guidice. Vicki and I have been married 40 years now and Fran was a part of our Wedding Party along with the other "French Aunts", Neechie and Ayliffe. We all had the pleasure of being "Young" together - and we all had the privilege of seeing each other struggle and grow. Fran was truly a great friend to me. When I was first starting out in the professional theater Fran would go out of her way to travel and see me in plays all across the country - what sweet times. Over the years she has been an extraordinary "Aunt" to my girls, Abby & Olivia and they loved her dearly. I will miss the Laughing with and at each other...whether it be Fran trying to "cook a meal" - Her Oregano Burgers were legendary, or all of us trying to play group games together - the laughter was such a special part - no it was a special gift we all shared and valued. It's so difficult to fathom that Frannie is not here anymore. BUT when she was here she was remarkable and taught me so much about living in community. This was Fran's special nature - to live in community. Every time we would be together this was proven to me through Fran's recounting of everything she was doing. The artist's group she had discovered, the museum she had just visited, the special trip she had just taken with a friend from work, the organization she was volunteering at...her stories would go on and on to everyone's delight. She knew how to live fully - she was present - and this taught me a great deal. Frannie - you are the first one, of all of us, to leave so please get to work discovering all the wonderful places and people that you will introduce us to when we meet up again. Here's to a life that brought much joy to this world. I carry you in my heart. All my love, Ted
