Fran was raised in Waynesville, Ohio where she grew up helping her father, mother and eight sibilings on their family farm. Fran also excelled in academics while growing up.

She attended the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky and graduated in 1981 where she majored in Public Relations.

She lived most of her adult life in Bryan-College Station, Texas after moving there in 1991 to start a family.

Fran's pride and joy were her three children: Savannah, Lacey and Miles. She enjoyed watching them grow up and guiding them through the years. She was on the PTO and attended every school event. Fran made sure her children were involved in all local sports and enjoyed watching them become great athletes.

She enjoyed being creative and her favorite pastimes were crafting, reading and watching University of Kentucky sports games.

Fran is preceded in death by her father, William Peters; her mother, Thelma Osborn Peters; her grandparents, Emery Peters, Nancy Peters, Morris Osborn, and Florence Osborn; and her sister, Josephine Martin.

Fran is survived by her three children, Savannah Greenwood, Lacey Greenwood, and Miles Greenwood, all of Bryan, Texas; her sister, Loretta Garee and husband Ron of Westerville, Ohio, her sister, Virginia Jones of Cincinnati, Ohio, her sister, Barbara Reynolds and husband Buck of Xenia, Ohio, her sisters, Dorothy Peters and Billie Peters, both of Waynesville, Ohio, her sister, Margaret Hatfiled and husband Jerry of Columbus, Ohio, and her brother, Dan Peters of Lexington, Kentucky.

I knew Fran growing up in Waynesville and graduated with her. I remember her always friendly and caring of others. We attended a few of the same reunions afterwards but I had not seen her for a number of years. I am saddened by your loss. My condolences to her children and family.

I knew Fran from school in Waynesville. We both worked at 1776 Inn during high school. I reconnected with Fran a few years ago and seen her some after she moved to Kentucky. Fran and I enjoyed making two trips to Waynesville in recent years. Rest in peace friend. My prayers for all of her family during this difficult time.

I was a teacher to Savannah, Lacey, and Myles. Fran was so very proud of her children. We could always count on Fran to volunteer, help with programs, bring snacks for our class, and create the most amazing props and costumes for our plays. My condolences to her children and family.

Fran was a gray friend in high school, working many years together at 1776 Inn. As well as a roommate after college where we continued to work together at Austin City Saloon to hear the bands and dance the night away. May you be comforted by the family and friends who remember Fran.
