Mary Frances Harvell, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 20th, 2025, at the age of 79, at her home in Great Falls.

Frances was born February 23rd, 1946, in Monroe, NC, to Rosaleen and Lewis Stegall. From an early age, her life was defined by her unwavering devotion to family, her strength of spirit, and her kindness toward others.

Her greatest joy was found in being a mother and grandmother. She loved her children and grandchildren with every breath, and her love was constant and unconditional, leaving an everlasting mark on the lives of those she held dear.

She will also be remembered for her wonderful cooking. No one ever left Frances's table hungry. Her kitchen was a place where both food and love were shared in abundance. Beyond that, her nurturing heart shone in countless ways, even in the smallest things, like ensuring her children and grandchildren were never disciplined too harshly. Her gentle spirit and protective love left a mark that will never be forgotten.

Those who knew Frances will always remember her warm smile, gentle nature, and her gift for making others feel seen, cared for, and valued. She was a woman of grace and compassion, whose legacy of love, faith, and generosity will continue to live on in the many lives she touched.

Frances is survived by her significant other Roger Smith, She is also survived by her sister Sylvia Greene, Barbara Pruitt, and her brother Jr. Stegall. In addition, she is survived by her children:

- David Harvell (wife Valerie)

- L.C. Harvell

Her grandchildren include Destiny Williams (husband Jamar Williams), Christopher Harvell (wife Kayla Harvell), Jordan Smith (Rene Booker), Jodee Strom (husband Allen), "Little David" Harvell (wife Stacy), Jennifer Heid (husband Kylean), Casey Harvell (wife Aimee),and Nicole Totherow (husband Donald).

Her great-grandchildren include Bentley Williams, Arianna Williams, Aubrey Williams, Lilly Harvell, Gracie Harvell, Ashlyn Newman, Devin Heid, Aaron Broome, Mason Harvell, Adeline Harvell, Bristol Harvell, Kalie Harvell, Gracie Harvell, Sophie Totherow, Aiden Totherow, Tucker Harvell, Savannah Harvell, Caleb Tillman,Rosalee Strom, and Finn Strom.

Her great-great-grandchild is Daxton Tinker, who brought her special joy as the newest generation of her growing family.

Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Aaron Harvell; her sons Chris Harvell and Scott Harvell; her daughter Belinda Epps (Ken Epps),granddaughter Desiree Harvell, and grandsons Mathew Epps, Stevie Harvell, and her great-granddaughter Kathryn Rosalee.

Her love, kindness, and faith will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends.
