FRANCES PAULINE LYONS

Frances Pauline Lyons, age 91, longtime resident of Memphis, died Monday April 2, 2012 in Paris, TN at her daughters residence. She was born January 15, 1921 in Luxor, AR to the late George Dewey Whitlock and Annie Beckham Whitlock Isbell. Pauline Married James Carlyle Lyons Sr. May 17, 1939 and he preceded in death June 24, 1971. She was a member of Rugby Hills Baptist Church and the Eastern Star in Memphis. In her early years, she was a volunteer and later taught sewing at Wesley House in Memphis. Visitation will be Thursday April 5 beginning at 12:30 p.m. at Memorial Park Funeral Home with the service at 2:30 pm Thursday at Memorial Park Funeral Home conducted by Larry Lovett. Committal and burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Paul Jones, Michael Jones, Scott Bullard, Brian Bullard, Steve Lyons and Jeff Lyons. Mrs. Lyons is survived by three daughters: Frances (Johnny) Linsman of Paris, TN, Barbara (Jerry) Austin of Cordova, TN, and Carol (Mike) Williams of Olive Branch, MS; two sons: James C. (Carolyn) Lyons Jr. of Bartlett, TN, and Freddy R. (Debbie) Lyons of Dallas, TX; two sisters: Birdie (Charlie) Pinner of Benton, AR, and Louise Hawks of Bartlett, TN; 20 grandchildren, 49 great- grandchildren, and 9 great- great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by: daughter, Emily “Bootsy” Burk; sister, Margaret Isbell; brother, Buddy Whitlock; and great- granddaughter, Samantha Williams.
