Frances McCann

Frances McCann 1925-2013 CHICOPEE - Frances (LaPierre) McCann, age 88, passed away on Sept. 10, 2013 surrounded by her family. She was born on Jan. 23, 1925 in Holyoke, MA. Her parents were the late Israel and Beatrice (Comtois) LaPierre. Frances was a communicant of St Anthony of Padua Church and was also a member of the church choir. She worked as a seamstress for Chicopee Undergarment for many years before she retired. She leaves sons, John McCann and his spouse Michael Behaylo of Holyoke and Michael McCann of Springfield; A daughter, Florence Godin and her spouse Raymond of Chicopee. Four grandchildren, Jennifer Superba and her spouse Matthew, Kathleen Myers and her spouse Frank, Michael McCann Jr. and Jennifer McCann and three great grandchildren, Emma, Amanda and Madalyn. She is predeceased by her son Cpl Vincent Owen McCann Jr., who passed away in 1969. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, Sept. 15, 2013 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St, Chicopee. A Memorial Mass will be held at St Anthony of Padua Church, 56 St Anthony St, Chicopee, on Monday, Sept. 16, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. followed by burial in Notre Dame Cemetery.
