AGAWAM - Frances Rose (Forgue) McClellan 81, of Agawam and formerly of Marquette Street East Springfield died Tuesday June 8, 2004 at the home of her son William A. and his wife Diane McClellan surrounded by her loving family. Frances worked for many years as a waitress at various local restaurants. Born in Springfield on February 16, 1923 the daughter of the late Arthur O. and Mary J. (Belanger) Forgue she resided in East Springfield for 48 years and in Agawam for the past 5 years. She was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church, Agawam and avid bingo player. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband of 42 years Joseph E. McClellan who died April 26, 1986. She is survived by 3 children; Dr. Joseph R. McClellan and his wife Marilyn of Erie, PA, Mary A. Sparks and her husband Gerard of Springfield, and William A. McClellan and his wife Diane of Agawam, a brother; Henry Forgue of Chicopee and her twin brother Francis Forgue of Southwick, her grandchildren; Christopher, Michael, and Kevin Sparks, Joseph and Kathleen McClellan. Frances' funeral will be Friday morning 8:30 A.M. at Sampson's Funeral Home 710 Liberty Street Springfield followed by the Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. in St. John the Evangelist Church 833 Main Street Agawam. Rites of Committal to follow in St. Michael's Cemetery 1601 State Street Springfield. Visiting hours are Thursday 4 to 8 P.M.
