Frances was born March 22, 1919 in Durango, Colorado, passed away surrounded by family on April 4, 2012. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother and long-time resident of Oakland. She is survived by her children Dennis, Michael (Sherry), Kay, Kathleen (Roger), Sandra, Patrick (Mary Jo), Mary, Thomas (Maria), and Kevin; 17 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her husband Thomas Richard on May 6, 1977. Dearly loved by her family. A Funeral Mass celebrating her life will be held at St. Paschal Baylon Church 3700 Dorisa Ave. Oakland on Monday, April 9th beginning at 11:00 AM.

Everyone at Bay-o-Vista loved Fran. She always had a smile, a hug, kind words, and loved to read the newspapers and discuss the news - after her exercises! We miss her so very much. That is a beautiful picture of her. Our prayers for all of the extended family and friends. We have lost a very special woman.
