Frances Sikorski

Frances J. Sikorski November 12, 2022 FRANCES J. SIKORSKI died on November 12, 2022 at the proud age of 90 at her home in New Port Richey, Florida with her family by her side. She and her husband Joseph, who predeceased her in 2014 after 63 years of marriage, previously resided in Memphis, NY and Canastota, NY. She was also predeceased by two grandsons, Jeffery Simmons and Alexander Parkolap, as well as her sister, Veronica McIntyre, and her son-in-law Reid Steel. She graduated from Warners High School in 1951 where she was a cheerleader and worked as a soda jerk at Woolworths. Fran was very proud of her family and her flower gardens, and spent many years square dancing, polka dancing, and traveling on cruises and throughout the country and Europe. She was a member of the Memphis Fire Department Auxiliary, Chrysler Camping Club, Holiday Polish Home, and was a recent volunteer at Bayonet Point Hospital for 4 years. She is survived by her six children: Jane Steel of Mason, MI; Susan (John) Klocek of Memphis, NY; Cindy Sikorski of Tow, TX; Linda (Kris) Boronczyk of Lakeland, NY; Lorraine (Myron) Parkolap ofMemphis, NY; Joseph (Hazell) Sikorski, Jr. of Sarasota, FL; grandchildren Bob Steel, Lisa Bercaw, John Klocek, Jr., Christine Kellogg, Donnie Lee, Christa O'Hara, Nicholas Parkolap, and Tatianna Parkolap; 10 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-granddaughters, and her sister-in-law Lucille Jones. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, November 20, 2022, 2pm-5pm, at Hollis Funeral Home, 1105 West Genesee St., Syracuse, NY. Funeral Mass will be Monday, November 21, 2022 at 9:30am at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
