Frances Singleton Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Mar. 4 to Mar. 6, 2024.
Frances Ellen (McNamara) Singleton, 79, of Diamond, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on March 2, 2024. She was born on August 25, 1944, in Wilton, CT. She is preceded in death by her mother, Frances Lee and her father Charles Lee. Also, a sister, Mary Quinn, and a brother, Jackie McNamara. She leaves behind the love of her life, her husband of 46 years, Van Singleton. She also leaves four daughters: Rose Snyder of West Virginia; Jackie Lutes (Mark) of North Jackson; Diana Coggins (Scott) of Wellsville; and Mary Pew (Larry) of Youngstown. And a son,

Daryl Singleton (Sherry) of Deerfield. She was the best Nanny in the world to 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. She loved babysitting her grandchildren and participated in every aspect of the lives of her family.

She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Frances loved to read and do puzzles. She was famous for her love of dolphins, flamingos, the beach, and sparkly things. She loved everybody she met and always thought the best of everyone. She gave out hugs liberally. You could never enter or exit her house without a hug and a kiss on the cheek. She was the "Queen of Hugs".

She was known as Nanny to most and loved by all. She will be forever missed and never forgotten.

A memorial service will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 7, 2024, at Borowski Funeral Home in Newton Falls. Calling hours will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.

Dear Nanny,
I know that you are in a better place
And your back probably doesn´t hurt and that all your problems are probably gone,
I know that you are probably up there singing and dancing on a hot sunny beach watching the sunset over the ocean,
I know that you are probably up there swimming and riding dolphins or playing with flamingos,
I know you probably are causing mischief with grandma Patty
I know you are probably looking down at us everyday wondering how we got so big,
But even though I know all of these things are probably true, I know for sure that you love us everyday and I hope you know that we love and miss you more than anything.
Love, Jerrica

When I met her thru my sister in law Rose her daughter, and the favorite memory I have is when she brought her dog down and found out she had a pitbull & shared the same love for them that I do.. Something I will always remember is that is was the sweetest lady I ever met but made me laugh all the time with her stories, I'm so sorry about her passing & send love to Rose , Jackie and the rest of her family..
