Carl, Diane, Melissa, and the Boys,

I have so many fond and funny memories of Fran. Of course, many had to do with gymnastics. She always put others first - what a kind and wonderful person she was. What will we do without Fran judging at our New England Invitational and Funomenal Flippers meets!! She was always there with a smile on her face for the girls - no matter if that gymnast was an XCEL or a Level 10!!

I am heartbroken at the loss of Fran. So many of my gymnastics memories include Fran. Many, many years ago she used to judge me, and recently, she has been judging my daughter. She has touched the lives of generations of gymnasts in Connecticut.

She was a wonderful person who had a heart of gold, and she would do anything for anyone. My condolences to Carl, Diane, Melissa and the boys.

It saddens me very much to learn of Fran's passing. As a fellow gymnastics colleague Fran and I traveled to many meets together working side by side to serve the gymnasts. She had a knack for getting everyone to laugh when challenging circumstances surfaced. My thoughts are with Fran's family during this most difficult time. Patty McDiarmid

Carlton,
Know that the gymnastics world will miss Fran. She may have driven us crazy at times, and herself crazy at others - and we all know she drove you crazy most of all. But we all know that Fran wanted nothing but the best. The best for the gymnasts, the best for the coaches, the best for the Judges. That passion will be missed terribly.

So sorry for your loss, Fran was a wonderful sweet and cute lady who I came to know after I became a gymnastics judge. She helped me out when I was getting started with some judging tricks and a lot of knowledge. I will never forget our carpool talks. I felt like I knew her grandchildren as she would talk about them and all of their accomplishments. She was very much proud of her family. I will miss seeing her, gymnastics will never be the same.
Thoughts and prayers are with her family.

I have only known Fran for the last few years, as a mentor who pulled me into the gymnastic judging world and never let me go. She was a formidable woman, who's love and passion for the sport and all the young gymnasts she encouraged, never waivered.
I recently took a road trip with Fran and Carl and at the end of the trip I remarked to them how cute they both were. Their dedication to each other was evident and admirable. My sincere condolences are with Carl and the family. Fran will be sorely missed.
