Frances Zewe

Funeral services were held this morning for Frances Zewe, 89 of New Eagle, who passed on peacefully with her son Carl by her side, Monday, March 18, 2013 in the Mon-Valley Care Center, Carroll Township, where she had happily made her home since Feb. 2012, caring deeply for all those who tended to her needs. Born April 21, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine (Scrave) Zucco. After attending Monongahela High School, Frances worked for several years at the New Eagle Bakery. She enjoyed bowling and had belonged to several leagues over the years. Surviving are her devoted son, Carl and daughter-in-law, Christine Zewe of Monongahela; her loving grandson, Adam and wife Kyra Petro Zewe of Madison, Ala.; and beloved niece, Debbie Hoskin Williams and her husband Barry Williams of New Eagle. Preceding her in death was her husband, Carl P. Zewe, on April 20, 1990; and her granddaughter, Rena Burge-Zewe on Jan. 26, 1992. Services were officiated by Fr.
