Francesco ESPOSITO Obituary
June 6, 1933 - April 16, 2016
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Francesco Esposito in Edmonton, Alberta at the age of 82 years.
Born in Cosenza, Italia, he is survived by Elena, his loving wife of 59 years; his children: Maria (Bruno), Aldo (Mary-Kay), Patrizia (Alessandro), Domenico (Vanessa) and grandchildren: Melissa, Daniel, Luke, Mark, Matteo, Massimo, Sophia, Dario and great- grandchild, Milana. Francesco also leaves behind his siblings: Iolanda (Luigi), Elena, Maria (Gabriele), Lidia (Francesco) and Aldo (Teresa). Predeceased by his parents, Rosario Esposito and Giuseppina Carnevale; brothers, Domenico, Umberto (Maria) and brother-in-law, Ernesto.
Francesco was a gentle, loving man who was fiercely dedicated to caring for his wife and family, as well as friends and neighbours. His generosity inspired a love for building, gardening and making wine as a way to bring family and friends together. He will be deeply missed by all those whose lives he touched. Thank you to all the staff at the University of Alberta Hospital for their care and compassion.
Prayer service to take place at Santa Maria Goretti Church, 9110-110 Avenue, Edmonton, on Wednesday, April 20 at 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the same location on Thursday, April 21 at 9:30 a.m.
In lieu of other tributes, donations may be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation at http://www.heartandstroke.ab.ca.
