Dear Burke Families,
We are just so sorry and saddened by Francis' untimely passing. I was amongst the standing room only crowd at the service today and I hope you were all able to take some comfort from the show of love so many had for him.
All our love,

Dear Karen, Devin, Jaydon and the Burke family. We extend our deepest sympathies to you all. We have great memories of Francis coming to stay with us when our girls were very young. He had such fun teasing them and they were fascinated by his long, bushy hair and pony tail. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Deepest heartfelt sympathies go out to Karen, Devin, Jaydon, and the many family members and friends to whom Francis was dear. His fun-loving personality and booming voice will be sadly missed by us; and countless memories are cherished. The many visits to Kakabeka Falls and the laughs he brought with him will always bring a smile to our faces- we're very blessed to have him as a part of our lives.

It was so nice to see Francis and his boys while visiting Nova Scotia this past summer. You were strong Francis, a fighter all the way. You will be dearly missed by everyone. I am so sorry for your loss Karen. Francis was one the first people that I met while visiting Cathy and Tom. We sure had alot of laughs through the years...the Burke boys have a great sense of humor...what fun. We are thinking of you and the boys at this difficult time.

Our sincere condolences to Karen and the boys, Mike, Lisa, Cindy, Wayne and families. It was a shock to hear of Frances' passing. He was a wonderful person and we have fond memories of our time spent with him when we lived in Ottawa and when he came out West skiing.
Also, I will remember Francis on one of work projects together, he organized a fishing trip at Whiteshell, Manitoba. That day we flew in a pontoon plane to one of the lakes and started fishing. I remember turtles ate his fish and beer hanging over his boat leaving only the heads. During that project he was hard working and professional. We will miss him.
Our thoughts are with you at this time.

It was an honour to know Francis and to work with him over the past decade on many significant projects in Ontario, Quebec, and Eurpoe, especially the Ottawa MacDonald-Cartier International Airport and the Delegation of the Ismaili Imamat on Sussex Drive in Ottawa.
Francis was an extremely well respected professional and his legacy will remain with those that had the pleasure to know him, enjoy his company, and learn from his wisdom.
My deepest condolences to Francis' family and friends.

Going to miss a good friend, I will always remember Francis as someone with a twinkle in his eye. Francis never missed a chance to tease me about something, mostly about trying to keep up with the Buckingham group when in came to enjoying a few drinks. Francis quick whit was always a challenge to keep up with, I never was able to come back with a equally witty comment. It was always a dangerous thing to go skiing with Francis and Mike, you guy's know what I am talking about, just when I thought I was heading to a double blue ski run, the next thing I new it was double diamond BLACK, uggg. Good thing there was a beer waiting at the bottom of the hill to calm my nerves. Going to miss you bud.
