Please accept my deepest sympathies on your loss.I recruited Fran to play goalie for my suny lacrosse team back in the 80s, and have so many fond memories of those days. he was such a character! He was a great guy and he will be missed.

A reminder to us all to cherish the moments...really sad to hear about the passing of Franny..Fran..Frankie...seems like yesterday. Really sorry for your loss everyone. So many incredibly happy times with Francis. Did he coin the term, "The Grapefruit Fred?" We traveled all over New York State and New England in a Volkswagen beetle with no floor packed with lacrosse (mostly goalie) gear a quarter century ago in the mid-eighties. Frannie, Donnie and I playing club lax for SUNY B. No one ever asked if we were all students there. Probably D-1 now. Getting lost in the middle of the night, but no worries. Frannie was a tough goalie. His infectious smile and laughter made countless people happy. Good deeds for sure. May Allah (SWT) reduce his burden, ameen.

To the Cordisco Family: Thank you for the priviledge of Fran's friendship. Fran, you brought so many people together with your sense of humor while never wavering from your values and beliefs. I still use your cliche's and will now get a tear in my eye when doing so. Thank you for the experiences, your heartfelt laugh and the treasure chest of memories, which will continue to be shared and enjoyed. I will miss you Fran.

I can't say that we all knew the adult Francis well but reading all of the thoughts that so many people recounted, he turned out to be quite a man.
We were reminded by his Aunt Louise that his Italian Grandmother told of how in Italy the village would cry at births and celebrate at deaths. There can be no doubt that Francis has joined all of the deceased Cordiscos in heaven. They certainly are celebrating his arrival.
May God grant your family the peace and strength to join them in celebration of his arriving at his eternal home with his Lord.

Fran will be greatly missed at work. He was always such a go getter and so energetic 1st thing in the morning, basically running circles around everyone. It will never be the same when I look across the aisle and know that I will never see or hear Fran over in the flooring department. He was a great asset to the company. I specifically remember a converstaion we had regarding people with college degrees are not smarter than the average person. I was very sorry to read of the passing of your son. Losing someone you love is always very difficult, but when that person is so young, that makes it even moreso.

I have such great memories of us growing up on Moffatt Avenue and of your mom and Sandy and Benny and then John, Tony and Debby came along.

Although I do not think I knew Fran when he was young, I am sure that he was as great as all of these posts indicate.

I was actually looking for him Wednesday morning and I asked someone if they had seen Fran yet and the reply was, "Well I haven't HEARD him yet" and we both laughed. Dear Mr. & Mrs. Cordisco and Family,
I remember Fran and my brother Jeff always picking on me and my friends or scaring the crap out of us almost daily, when we were kids. We used to get so mad at them, yet Fran or Jeff would be the first one by our side if we ever had any trouble. Fran was always very personable and very comedic,his laughter infectious. He really taught me how to laugh at myself and not to let life drag you down. When you're a young kid, sometimes you think that things will never pass or get better. Fran always found a way to make you laugh, that was his way of caring about you. Whether he would admit it or not.
I last spoke to Fran two or three months ago at his job, we even laughed then about old times.
I am so very sorry for your loss.
I can only hope that my thoughts and prayers will bring you comfort as the Lord and Time shall.

I first met Fran in the local men's hockey leagues.I always got a chuckle as to how he could play goalie and also do the play by play of the game at the same time. The hockey community is just finding out about his passing and is shocked. My deepest sympathies go out to the entire family. And Manny, make your father even more proud of you if that is possible.

There are no words to express my saddness! I am shocked! Franny was 1 of a kind! Many a day we had our verbal battles about the G-Men and his Redskins! God, those battles date back to grade school! Miss you my man!

His sense of humor was unmatched and one memory that stands out was the time we were down at MacArthur Park ice rink and after playing hockey all day like we did frequently...sat on the snow bank and made fun of my cheap ice skates. My sympathy goes out to Fran's family. So many years have passed from the BCC days, some cool roadtrips to see Jerry and the Boys at the Byrne and in Hartford. It was so nice to run into Fran at the House of Thirst a few years back and recognise eachother after all those years and have a great laugh. When they made Fran, they broke the mold. I am saddened to see this news and the world will be a lesser place without him.

Our family bought a computer from Fran many years ago, he was great with any issues or follow ups we had at the time. Decked out in his shorts, he would be laughing and singing the whole time he was working, and we enjoyed him and his expertise immensely. May he find peace among the angels.
